It's pointless deviating from this subject any further, especially when you beleive that someone (all be it an extremely intelligent someone) from the 17/18th century can have a greater knowledge of a studied subject than someone from this century.
So let's just agree to disagree, it's been a fun argument.

First Newton > Hawking first of all
2nd of all while there are theories on the effects of gravity or the cause. doesn't mean that gravity is a theory.
Eg. Someone can die of a heart attack there may be theories on what causes the heart attack doesn't mean that heart attacks causing death is a theory.
Unfortunately there's no book than can further explain that. |

UMMMMM not a law it theory no explanation hwy planets orbit perfectly?
1) no such thing as "perfectly" desirably yes planets don't crash into each other perfectly is an opinion
2) Gravity is a law the gravitational force between any 2 objects is Fg = G (m1*m2)/(d^2)
This is all proven please tell me the part is theory? |

Haha smart, generally I would agree there. But when somebody is essentially holding up a hate sign, telling them to stop with the signs and actually do something about it is kind of an iffy strategy. |

Well lets see, mass creates gravity, and since planetary masses are not uniform, so neither will their gravitational fields. Also the planets are not perfect spheres, actual their not spheres, round yes, sphere no. since earth for an explain in flat on top and bottom due to the high speed rotation of our planet.

And WBC is NOT Christian... They have no ordained church affiliation, yet call themselves a church. The fact that they even have a FALSE church affiliation makes the government unwilling to step in and stop them for fear of uprising from various churches about religious rights. All it would take is he government saying they don't honor the WBC as a legitimate faith. Without the church protection, they can be brought to answer for what they do and they can be stopped from gathering in large rallies or at funerals of soldiers. The downfall would be the massive court cases that would stem from it, and the huge attack on the government for persecuting a "church" for their views. |

This doesn't really surprise me. If any of you BS callers were familiar with the Westboro Baptist Church, you'd realize that this is quite a distinct possibility. They always get their kids do protest like this. |

For all those whining about the whole Freedom of Speech thing; This isnt an argument about whether they have the right to state their opinions or not. The reason these people haven't been locked up or napalmed from the face of the earth is the fact that they have a right to their views. The discussion is about the fact that this girl is about 12. She isn't educated enough to be doing this with the proper amount of knowledge. She's doing this because her parents force their views on her. Does freedom of speech make it okay for bigot parents to make their impressionable children hold bigot signs for their cause when the children don't even know what their protesting about?

Most christians, by a HUGE majority, accept evolution, the laws of physics, the age of the Earth etc. It is just unfortunate that the ignorant among them have very loud voices. That may be different over there, but I doubt it. |
