Thursday, March 25, 2010 10:05:21 AM Firstly, you apply it you do not derive it. The derivation is ultimately more tricky my fiancee is a mathematician and she can practically explain everything that I have learned. Secondly, I don't know why I'am having this argument because even though my background is in maths/physics, which is what you said I needed to qualify for this conversation, my role as an acoustician is engineering based - solving problems using theory. And your point destroyed once again, engineers modelled MST to assess if it was able to dampen earthquakes in large high rise buildings - turned out it didn't and the vibration of circular plates is used quite a bit in engineering but you have to understand the derivation to know its limits of use! Lastly, I know Tesla was his last name you dingbat! You called him Nicola Tesla! |

Thursday, March 25, 2010 9:19:02 AM Joey if Engineers have to learn math to apply it wouldn't that make an engineer smarter because that would make us mathematicians with an additional capability of applying the mathematicians to engineering... And my point once again don't know how to model scatter plots or vibration of a circular plate do know how to model a circuit and DO something useful with it, also know how to model software and DO something with it. Also, Tesla is his last name not his first.

Thursday, March 25, 2010 4:33:32 AM And BTW considering you know so much about Tesla you're on first name terms... you will know that the patents that he filed and we can never replicate are purely fictional ideas! He never replicated them either. It's REALLY obvious that any information people have learned in our known history will have been passed down for us to learn! You really are SO SO SO stupid! I can't get over how stupid you really are! |

Thursday, March 25, 2010 4:26:46 AM Erm, kinda obvious mathematicians are much smarter than engineers... engineers have to learn maths to apply it! My field is probably far more complex than you give credit for... when's the last time you modelled multiple scattering theory? Or the vibration of a circular plate? You probably couldn't even begin to understand the maths! What's the difference between a mathematician and an engineer? An engineer could never explain why it happens! And computer engineering is such a crap subject, it's really not that difficult, even though you're probably gonna graduate with a third! Lastly, Tesla? Yes people can replicate dippoo! Gravity is a theory, I've already cited well respected books but even then you think you know more than Steven Hawking... must be the bachelors in computer engineering! You're a moron you know nothing and that's the way it will always be. You state facts and haven't referenced to anything so what do you know? Bugger all! |

Thursday, March 25, 2010 3:43:58 AM Heureux, the bible (Lev. 18:22, Lev. 20:13, 1 Cor. 6:9-10, Rom. 1:26-28) also promoted the death penalty for homosexual acts, among other things. I personally don't believe that, but, meh. |

Thursday, March 25, 2010 12:29:31 AM Useless fact about America, it's illegal to step on the American flag in Nebraska. So that probably wasn't Nebraska in the pic above. Looks like the Phelp's granddaughters are all growing up, not in a good way mind. |

Thursday, March 25, 2010 12:00:19 AM strivejaylen "i am a Christian and i dont support gay marriage " Sorry, but these two statements are self-contradicting. Jesus requires that his followers treat others exactly as they wish to be treated, so, any heterosexual who is married, or wants to get married, but opposed same-sex marriage, has explicitly rejected Jesus Christ. Creating a second-class 'same as but different' is only good enough if you would settle for it yourself. If you treat anyone, even GLBTQ people, differently than you want to be treated, you are not yet a Christian. |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 9:16:31 PM All you people are so far off topic Christians, Atheists, gravity, literal definition of "laws" and "theories" in the sphere of science. I was only on the page before this, and I'm scared to go any further o.O |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 8:32:50 PM You see, back in the day, you beat children with sticks, and they listened! Nowadays, they just yap on their drating little doodad and get prego/suicide because of pregnancy. Since you know physics and math you would know Nicola Tesla has patents and inventions that people today can't figure out or replicate. Nikola Tesla > science fiction |
