Thursday, March 25, 2010 5:27:47 AM Why do people write Global Warming anyway? It's not like it's a name or anything, it is just a change in the climate (the general level of temperature changed in a specific area over a specific period of time). Global means in general across the globe, so even if the temperature where you live does not follow this trend, the general temperature level of earth might still change without you noticing. Then again there are kind of three groups regarding this issue, the people that deny climate change, the people that believe it is caused by human CO2-emissions, and people like me that believe it isn't. |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 4:36:40 PM Theres debate that the last ice age was caused by global dimming from an asteroid hitting the earth, or super volcano going off, cooling the earth until the debris left the air. The magnetic shielding on the earth weakening also could be source of warming as it protects less from the solar radiation. |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 2:06:08 PM There's a island somewhere that submerged recently. Try diving there. See, these things have a habit of working themselves out. |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 10:55:37 AM Right you are Sarph. Where I currently live was covered in ice 10,000 years ago and the lakes were formed by glaciers. Now it's not covered in ice, and the glaciers are now the Great Lakes, so what had to happen? |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 9:37:45 AM @ SCfan, remember that Global Warming(tm) is just a misused term for climate change in general. I mean, there have been ice ages before, and there most likely will again, but the general population has no idea what exact outcome there will be, and just spew out that they heard on the news or from politicians with their perfect information. |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 9:18:46 AM Warmer weather -> Ice melts on the poles -> The sea cools down from all the icy water, this affects the currents -> New ice age. |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 8:37:46 AM You global warning buffoons need to stick with one theory. First it caused milder winters, melting ice caps, now it is more severe winters. During Katrina, we had more hurricanes, now you say less, but stronger hurricanes. To pontificate that warming causes more severe winters demonstrates the lunacy of your convoluted logic. |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 7:51:16 AM i think it's funny when people argue "it just snowed (someplace wierd) how could it be warming" not even stopping to think that strange winter weather is also part of global warming |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 6:06:04 AM @OldOllie Senility takes longer than that look at me. I have all the knowledge in the world Global warming is a conspiracy by Al Gore and cats because all Gore created the internet and cats took it over. The cats want the world to be warm because they love hot weather so they put laser beams in their eyes to melt the ice caps these laser beams being designed by Al Gore to make even more of a fortune. See perfectly sane... |

Tuesday, March 23, 2010 9:04:59 PM Isn't global warming supposed to cause the seas to RISE? If it's so warm, why are they wearing wetsuits? LtFurpie, didn't you notice how old pedo is? Between the ages of 13-17, kids know EVERYTHING. It's only when they get old do they forget most of what they know. That's why it's so important for them to make up their minds about everything now before senility sets in (usually sometime in the mid-twenties). Don't confuse him with contradictory facts, or his thought processes won't be able to set permanently. That would leave him open to all sorts of new ideas and information as he grows older. Can you imagine how confusing that would be for someone who already knows it all? Let me tell you, it's hell. I'm 57, and I'm STILL learning new stuff every damned day! IT WON'T STOP!!! God help me, it won't stop... |
