no, that's not shopped, a lot of older houses had canvas ceilings, newer paints make them water proof essentially, now if I were the owner, I'd have put a large trashcan underneath it, and pierce it to let the water out of it before it takes down the admittedly ugly, but definitely expensive antique glass light fixture. |

Could be real. My a/c was leaking a littel in the hallway at my old house and it made a smaller version of this. It happens with latex(sp?) paint. |

i've seen this somewhere else..fake or not, it said it was a new kind of ceiling crap...it's like an "elastic cloth" let's say, that you glue to the ceiling so you dont have to paint it or whatever...and that is when it's not glued properly in place, and there's infiltration going on...so its pretty much filled with water |
