I will put my money on that people who claim that their accelerator was stuck are retarded and just forgot the accelerator is on the right and the brakes on the left.

Just because you CAN put a modified car engine in a lawnmower, doesn't mean you SHOULD. :)

Please remember this the next time you think it's cool to duct tape rocket launchers on the cat.

Of course you have keith2, because you are amazingly ignorant and can't seem to understand the simple concept that a recall doesn't make a car and the company crap for all span of time past and present.

I own a '09 Corolla it wasn't recalled because it has a J at the start of it's VIN but still makes me feel real safe lol. I can never understand though why people think GM or ect is purely U.S. made alot of them are made in Mexico.

Heh funny. I have an electric lawnmower, and my parents. And several other people I know. The motor doesn't drive the wheels however.

Is it weird to feel glad and sad for Toyota's troubles at the same time?
Is it weird to think that maybe - just maybe - our government, what with its large ownership interest in two American auto manufacturers, may have piled on to a degree outweighing the problem?
Hmm.

I mean, I'm no conspiracy nut - I consider myself a pragmatist - but I also think the U.S. had a monetary and political incentive to simply fake the moon landings. The TV technology was so poor, the scientific instruments so primitive, you could spend FAR LESS money faking a moon landing than actually going there, and yet no one could disprove you. History has shown the Russians bankrupted themselves just trying to APPEAR to keep pace with the Americans. They even half-assed copied out space shuttle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energia

Not saying we faked it, just saying I wouldn't be mad at my government if they did.
