Unfortunately, employers are finding it harder (meaning they don't want to) to hire people under 30 because they waste so much time during the day on social networking sites that they get little to no work done. If you're in that age group, I'd wake up. Learn how to curb your desire to click "Log on" until you get home.
site your source my friend, because I recently saw on HLN that more "older generations" 30+ are using company time to surf websites and "login in" to sites like Facebook ans Twitter. so again please site your source so I may see this article

"I must admit... I am a facebooker.I resisted and now I'm not really quite sure why. I enjoy keeping up with friends back home." I had always preferred MySpace. I never understood the whole application thing, it looked like a place for old people, and I hated that you couldn't customize anything. Then all of my friends started moving over to FaceBook, and I figured I should start using my account that was sitting empty for a couple years. And since last November, I'm ashamed to say I log in almost every day.
Many people on my friends list are people I haven't seen in many, many years, because I moved away. It's amazing to me to see them all now, when my memories of them are us at a much younger age. (A few weeks ago I scanned a bunch of old class photos and tagged a bunch of them in it. So many memories! Hahaha.) I usually just go on it now to post in a few groups I'm in, and to see what the people I know/knew are up to. Kinda fun. |
