Router52000 is wrong anyways.ELT = Emergency Locator Transmitter. It's a pulsating tone that broadcasts on the guard frequency should the plane crash. I am fairly confident it is located within the black box, but if the black box was just an ELT, there is no way it would record radio transmissions, Lat and long, altitude, etc... Sorry to prove you wrong, but learn your stuff before pretending to. If you wanted to get technical you should have called it Flight Recorder... |

ok router52000 only the FAA and NTSB call it the ELT most IA's I know even call the effing Black Box and seeing as there are two on most commercial A/C's I think a simple phrase like "Black Box" works |
