it's understandable really. we have one of these things every year, assuming the universe does too, how long does it take the whole universe to achieve one full rotation? AKA one year? don't be too hard on the universe, it can't rotate as fast as us you know. |

It's the same as in hockey, football, and basketball. Our teams are just the highest quality in the world, which is due in part to the fact that we get good players from different countries.Notice that we know our soccer teams aren't the best in the world so the MLS champs aren't the "World Champs". |

I remember seeing a tv show (like a twilight zone, except happier endings) in the early 90s that adressed this. An alien (played by Weird Al) shows up to a Miss Universe pageant, and says that we haven't been including everyone, and proceeds to bring out a bevvy of aliens, each stranger than the last. |
