batmanners, wouldn't that just be an electrical fire? An electric arc would be a direct jump of electricity from one spot to another (from the clouds to ground in lightnings case)in this case, the direct path would be the stick, so . . . |

I didn't pay attention in all my workplace safety videos, so I don't know all the science behind it, though wiki will teach me one day. But I am sure some electrician nerd will come on here boasting about his big electric arcs that were "That big" stories... |

Cool! An electric arc!There must have been something peculiar about that branch, wet, or something because wood isn't the best conductor, despite those being high tension wires. Assuming they are high tension from the third cable, but the low altitude tells me they may just be medium or even low tension. |
