When she first came onto the scene I thought "Well, hell...she's creative and I can respect that even if her music sucks" but now I have come to realize that she isn't creative-just crazy enough to go along with the weirdness someone else is probably creating for her. Tool is amazing. Gaga is cheap. All she is is shock factor and frankly she isn't that shocking anymore. |

- greatest pop acts in recent times. She was writing for Britney at age 17 for goodness sake! This woman is fantastically talented. For all you haters out there I would say don't pay attention to her style (man that gets on my nerves as well) but listen to some of her acoustic stuff on youtube. It's really fantastic, and she did a mind blowing performance for the royal variety show. Regina Spektor is a great artist, but will never achieve the same success that Lady GG has already managed in her short career. It's a bit like saying wolfmother are better than metallica. |

You can't deny lady gaga is more talented than Regina for a few reasons. She has written music for Britney Spears, Pussy Cat Dolls (they are pooe however) and numerous other successful chart acts. Regina Specktor? Shes written 2 chart singles perhaps? This is the part where you harp on about "popularity" and "Lady GG is only more popular, not more talented". My reply to this is that if she was untalented then she would not be able to reproduce her music in an -astounding- variety of forms, yet whilst still maintaining their popularity worldwide. Regina Spektor is a footnote to Lady GGs talent. Lady GG is the next Maddonna and she has earnt it completely. She is not a "face" for the industry, but writes her own music after spending years penning hits for some of the g |

Why do we continue to be shocked by the things that Lady Gaga does (read: wears)? It's like telling the same joke over and over again; After the first couple times, it starts to lose it's luster.Either her PR rep is beginning to show his/her extent of being unimaginative, or she really is dumb enough to think that this kind of gimmick is a long term strategy. Either way, the populace will (and is, currently) growing tired of this kind of poo. |
