Saturday, February 20, 2010 9:32:57 PM "Hey, IAB? You there? Yea... this video automatically sets itself to 720p but the embed into your site doesn't allow full screen, can you get that fixed?"Just click twice in the picture area, and it will take you to YouTube where you can view it full screen 720p. I would say that was a bit more than a "fan-made" video. Hell, the credits took over 4 minutes to run. Maybe if 300 fans, all with extensive experience in the film industry, got together and pooled their life savings, they might be able to pull this off. Whoever these people are, it was pretty damned good. |

Saturday, February 20, 2010 5:36:45 PM If by a prequel you mean The Hobbit, yes they are making that. As a matter of fact, they're making 2 movies out of it, which I hope are as awesome and faithful to the book as the original LoTR trilogy.
I wouldn't call the character changes and plot changes all that faithful to the book. I could accept the large amount that was cut out due to time constraints ("Hi, I'd like you to fund this film I'm making. It's 15 hours long, sure to be a commercial success") but the changes bugged the hell out of me all the more because of how scrupulous he was with even the most minor details. I very rarely watch films based on books I like :) |

Saturday, February 20, 2010 8:14:57 AM While I'm waiting for that to load...Are they still going to make a prequel? Is that still happening? |

Thursday, February 18, 2010 5:42:09 PM Link: The Hunt for Gollum: A Fan-Made Prequel [Video] [Rate Link] - I-A-B never posts videos this long, but this fan-made (and financed!) prequel of Lord of the Rings deserves high praise. |
