Wednesday, February 17, 2010 2:39:35 AM Why is everyone so thrilled over rivers of bodies and neck snapping? O_o; This stuff really happened, it wasn't a movie. |

Tuesday, February 16, 2010 7:04:43 PM Moving stuff, really. And there were many more stories which never really surfaced, because people didn't take the time to listen. We, as the US, don't really grasp what a veteran deserves, and we still don't. Just another thing we need to change I guess. |

Tuesday, February 16, 2010 6:48:43 PM what makes stories like this guys and other WW2 veterans so fascinating, is the fact that we will never see a war fought in the manner that WW2 was.and by that I mean the strategy they used, for the most part ever battle was done in the same manner, throw thousands of troops at the enemy until you overrun them, look at D-Day, the battle for Stalingrad, the battle for Iwo Jima, in those battles we lost thousands of troops. where as today, we mostly use strategic air attacks followed by troops going in to clean up, its very rare for our soldiers to see battles like they saw in WW2. |

Tuesday, February 16, 2010 10:59:45 AM As an assignment in my English class, I had to interview my grandparents, who are from this generation. One of the most life-changing assignments I've ever completed. |

Tuesday, February 16, 2010 9:56:21 AM kinda off topic but not. just brutal. my grandparents lived in austria during ww2. one night the bomb siren went off and my grandpa and his family ran to the bomb shelter. when the bombs came everyone was sitting like they were supposed to but one guy remained standing. the pressure from the bomb made his head explode. can you imagine that?! |
