Wednesday, February 10, 2010 2:15:19 PM "The president always gets more credit/blame than he deserves for the economy. It's congress that controls taxes and spending and, therefore, the economy. "It's the president that writes the budget, and with congress in Bushes pocket they absolutely granted his budget request 100%. So the blame with Bush is accurate. |

Wednesday, February 10, 2010 2:02:44 PM The only reason people dislike Obama is because he promised hope and change, and people expect that all to happen within his first year in office. One year in office won't change 8 years of Republican f**k-ups. |

Wednesday, February 10, 2010 8:15:36 AM No, and here's why. You started two wars without paying for them. You gave tax cuts to the richest. You cut funding for social programs like lunches for children. You ran up a $12 trillion debt. When you got in a hole, you kept digging. You ignored Katrina. You were way in over your head. |

Wednesday, February 10, 2010 7:36:26 AM Zerocyde "How the hell could I have voted McCain?"Believe me, I understand you completely. It was a piss-poor choice on both sides of the ballot. I actually wasn't that disappointed when Obama won. I figured that with a huge Democrat majority in congress, the economy was going into the dumper no matter who won. If McCain had won, he'd sign all the crap that came out of congress so he could look like he was being bipartisam, and the Republicans would be blamed for the mess. Now the blame will fall entirely on the Democrats where it belongs. The president always gets more credit/blame than he deserves for the economy. It's congress that controls taxes and spending and, therefore, the economy. The economy turned up under Clinton only after the Republicans took over congress in '95, and it went into the dumper after the Democrats took it back in '07. |

Wednesday, February 10, 2010 6:02:41 AM he was at least a loveable idiot. i can respect that. and money being spent on that instead of haiti, that i dont think is a big deal. youve got people willing to donate 15 bucks call that good and drop 5 bucks a day on starbucks coffee. me personally, i didnt donate. i figured 5.2 billion dollars from the UN was decent enough. and in all honesty, i find it more of a waste to send money through a charity that might not even get to where i intended it to go. i donate to other jank. and in 3 months time, the haiti earthquake will be forgotten and the US will be the bad guys everyone hates again. i love the cycle. they already forgot about america samoa and the philippines and the tsunami 5 years ago or whatever. im a cruel heartless bastard. |

Wednesday, February 10, 2010 5:53:17 AM "i remember it took clinton time b4 his work really brought us prosperity."I'm not interested in arguing the point, but Clinton did finalize the NAFTA deal, and that cost a lot of working people their jobs. Doesn't strike me as prosperity. But then maybe it's easy not to have noticed that if you weren't in the workforce at the time. |
