iPad won't change anything like the iPod and others. It's too big to be an mp3 player, it's not a laptop, and it's not a phone. At best it's a take-to-class computer, but at this price it's way better to just get an actual laptop. It wobbles because the bottom is rounded so you can't set it down. It's clipboard sized so you can carry it, but that only has professional use and they won't pay as much as Apple asks for something that already exists for far cheaper. Virtual keyboards aren't bad, but the novelty has run out and sometimes I just need to slam down on a key to make myself feel better. |

Bubbarider66, not true. There are cheaper players than the iPod but none of them are better. I still question the move of putting a damn camera on them. Just seemed frivolous. I formerly used the iPhone 3G and was impressed until I found out the things AT&T wouldn't tell me. The iPad looks like a nice piece of hardware but there are other internet tablets that are really just better. Maybe their screens aren't bigger and maybe they don't bear the Apple logo, but there are better out there. There are improvements Apple can make on some of their products but they haven't listened and their new product proves that. |

So you know, i have a IPod touch. i was 50€ and i needed a new mp3 player. I REALLY don't want that thing. Its basically a big IPod touch. You use your fingers to navigate. Fine, but after 2 pages it screen is full of fingerprints and smudges. Its bigger so better apps... That makes no sens, they might look better but just the size alone doesn't make it better apps. Its really fast... Somehow i doubt that. Nothing they made so far was as fast as they made you believe it was. (Talking IPod and IPhone here mostly) Just to transport it you l need a case which makes it just the same as a laptop imo. You cant let it rest on your lap while you watch. But i m sure apple will bring out loads of stuff to help with those problems. And you can be sure they are over priced pieces of plastic etc. And the responds to the price is, its design... No its just smooth with nothing on it but a apple logo. Get creative, you have a department for it ffs =s |

Remember when everyone said the iPod was unnecessary and unimaginative? Remember when everyone said the iPhone was just another phone? Remember when everyone said the iPad wouldn't change things? Well, it's 10 years later and laptops are practically non existent. Everyone has an iPad or it's clone and no one types on a real keyboard anymore. |

over glorified iPhone? No. it doesn't make calls.
It's an oversize iPod touch. And now seeing how much I do on my touch, this actually would have been a better fit. Just too costly. A modified netbook would do just as well for less.But the hype for apple stuff does get annoying after a time. |
