Ok so the whole point was it was one of those things that if a volunteer/randomly selected person made this nearly impossible shot half court and blind folded he'd win tickets. Well, no one figured he'd actually make it, they even made him do it again without being blindfolded and he did it again, so now they have to fundraise to get the money to buy the tickets. |

Scott - I'm going to guess it's either a rip off, or copy of CollegeHumors prank war between Amir, and the other guy, where the exact same thing happens...but on a bigger scale...and it goes perfectly (i.e. he fails). |

so, they were gonna pretend that he made it. but then he actually made it. wouldn't he have gotten the tickets even if they tricked him into thinking he made it? that was a very poorly thought out "prank." |

The article says that the students that organized the contest felt bad and gave him a gift certificate to a restaurante. It also goes on to say that he is a very well liked coach and he was a walk on player to Kansas' #1 team at the time. Since this story broke it says that there has been a number of people wishing to donate 4 tickets to him. Y! Sports article |
