Um, I have a solar powered flashlight, had it for Years, it sits on my kitchen windowsill and has been useful in tons of power outages.2003 Northeastern power blackout? No problem. People are stupid. |

Actually it's a great idea. Just leave it out somewhere where you can get to it, and it will slowly charge. It'll always be there for easy access in an emergency and you can guarantee that it will be charged. |

Solar power can be stored, solar receptors not only trap and convert solar power, but store them, it's tech that has been around since before most of you were born and when I was a teenager listening to the "new" Uriah Heep Album. |

Yep, just hafta put it in a window sill during the day. Honestly, how hard is that to understand? Considering most of those construction zone signs, the blinking beacons and even some of those signs over the highways that communicate accidents, amber alerts and a slew of other things are all solar powered. Maybe most of the people on this site have solar powered brains and they're awake at night... |

I don't see the problem... it STORES the energy in the day and uses it at night. There's plenty of garden lanterns and the sort which have solar panels too. |
