Friday, January 22, 2010 1:38:58 PM Did you bother to understand what a readymade is? Or who Duchamp is?Your satire may not be good art, but your rhetoric and method was an artistic one. You're an ignoramus, dude. You try to turn my own statements against me when you have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, clearly. If you bothered to know what art is, maybe you wouldn't be so quick to criticize. |

Friday, January 22, 2010 8:04:09 AM also, almightybob1, by positioning that snow-screen photo and positioning it with a mock explanation, you have just made art.Look up Duchamp's readymades. You just made a readymade. You just made art. Now, couldn't that be fun and exhilarating rather than cynical and destructive?
If you're seriously going to label a random picture of white noise plus me making up crap about it 'art', then I think you just helped prove my point. |

Thursday, January 21, 2010 3:20:48 PM a trend is a general way that something is developing.... so true art can create a trend, not everything is about FASHION magazines.. and this is not a trend, its a lame phenomenon |

Thursday, January 21, 2010 3:13:19 PM Fashion is about art, art is expression. Trends on the other hand are picked out by magazines. Know the difference. |

Thursday, January 21, 2010 2:09:32 PM The word 'fashion' means trend, am I right? The last time I looked down my street, I did not see people wearing fk'in tables! There is no trend towards wearing tables, It is not fashion. It's insanity. |

Thursday, January 21, 2010 11:21:11 AM "Also note the even spread of black and white - a powerful message about the anti-apartheid movement, wouldn't you agree?"...uhm, that's one of those "magic eye" pictures, not just static. Although I can't seem to figure it out, it looks like some random squares. |

Thursday, January 21, 2010 10:30:34 AM almightybob1: using a model for that possible rhetoric (it could be a totally wrong reading) is not hypocrisy, but rather as a way of drawing the rhetoric directly on fashion. The model is the woman, the woman and the table are the same. Fashion is the focal point rather than the wearer. Just because you don't like my reading doesn't mean I'm grasping. I'm using methods of analysis that you have clearly never learned. Your ignorance does not negate the possibility of rhetoric. |
