Monday, January 18, 2010 12:13:06 AM "BMI is a bad way to measure if someone is overweight but that fact should not be used as defense for gross fat people. Fat is fat no matter how you measure it."exactly. I'm 210lb 5'10" I'm not a body building type, I just have really broad shoulders, large legs (soccer player). float test 14% body fat BMI index - overweight pushing obese |

Sunday, January 17, 2010 11:25:58 PM Further proof that B.C. is the greatest part of Canada.Honestly, though, I have no idea why this is. I always assumed that American health statistics applied to us as well, as our diet is pretty much the same as theirs (the amount of fast food resturants around here prove that). I suppose it could be because of a high amount of nature preservation (including hiking trails) that promote a healthier lifestyle, and near Vancouver we don't get nearly as much snow as other parts of Canada (especially the territories), which means going out for a stroll or to go jogging may be more common. Or it could be something in the Tim Hortons coffee. |

Sunday, January 17, 2010 7:18:46 PM I can vouch for that, Boadicea. I emigrated to your fine country on wednesday this week, and it's -10 outside, -20 with the wind chill. What the f*ck have I gotten myself into? |

Sunday, January 17, 2010 6:59:56 PM LOL! My state is the leanest of them all XD Then again, us mountain folk have to hunt our food! Why, we even shake hands with Bigfoot. Not like you Texans and your bagel shops. |

Sunday, January 17, 2010 6:22:44 PM "I just realized... I need to move to one of these "extreme fat" states. I'll have the exclusive on all the cute small size clothes! O_O I am genius." Wrong. That would be true for a short period of time, but since the data would suggest they have much fattier foods, you would end up gaining weight as well. |

Sunday, January 17, 2010 6:10:38 PM ya, boadicia. i agree. there are overweight people here in canada- i myself have a few to lose- but nothing like in the states.once i went there on vacation,. i was so self conscious of wearing my bathing suit. once i was in anaheim, however, i was the skinniest person there. here im like one of the fattest. and the portion sizes of food at resteraunts are out of control!! a meal is enough for 3 people! caker- i think they go by the doctors office weigh ins, or go by a couple hundred people who volunteer for a study.im in bc. there are a lot of asian and east indian people here, who are generally slimmer. plus here on the west coast, its warmer, we excercise more ( have lots of hiking and stuff) and eat a healthier diet in general ( salmon, etc) woah. guess i had a lot to say on this matter. lol |
