Monday, January 25, 2010 5:43:51 PM Why do we always have this pointless Brit vs US crap whenever something Brit turns up here. There's enough US people posting here that get the comedy in the clip, nationality has nothing to do with it.And I'm speaking as a Brit who loves the best from both sides - South Park, Big Bang Theory, George Carlin just as funny to me as QI or Python. |

Monday, January 25, 2010 11:12:29 AM "And I get it. Don't think I don't. He tripped over his words, and they made fun of him for it."There is a subtle nuance you're probably missing, which is that the very erudite and intelligent Mr Fry rarely trips over his own tongue, and therefore there is a certain wicked glee in the bundle that ensues... Or it could just be the people crying with laughter is contagious. Either works for me. QI is the dogs. |

Monday, January 25, 2010 5:58:31 AM Funny of course, but stuff like this happnes all the time on this show, and any comedy quiz shows at all. And for everyone else, please stop lumping "british humour" and "american humour." Both can be hilarious, both can be unfunny. I think the defining differences are, American scripted comedy: normally hilarious, british comedians: normally hilarious. |

Monday, January 25, 2010 4:35:42 AM Those guys are individually brilliant comedians. How could poor Stephen Fry think he could control a quiz show with them! |

Monday, January 25, 2010 12:29:54 AM I've ever actually watched, Brit humor is just a prolonged version of dinner scene from Billy Madison. If that's the case maybe I am too dumb of an American to wrap my mind around that kind of humor.
My dear Pel, if your understanding of British humour is an extended Billy Madison clip, then I'm afraid you may be a victim of the latter explanation. |

Sunday, January 24, 2010 8:46:33 PM I didn't laugh... I wasn't even amused. And I get it. Don't think I don't. He tripped over his words, and they made fun of him for it. And from what I can gather from every piece of British comedy I've ever actually watched, Brit humor is just a prolonged version of dinner scene from Billy Madison. If that's the case maybe I am too dumb of an American to wrap my mind around that kind of humor. |

Sunday, January 24, 2010 7:17:30 PM I get it, I just don't find it that funny. That's my every day life... someone messes up their words and friends never let them live it down. |

Sunday, January 24, 2010 6:19:03 PM I can't find where any 'elitist' Brits called Americans 'stupid'. In fact the only comments that hinted at it were an American and an Australian. Anywho, we're getting QI here in New Zealand, can't wait! |
