Because it's perceived that men have to work harder for sex, when they have many sexual partners, they are viewed as being "successful", since it's considered generally harder to accomplish. But for women, since it's (believed to be) so easy for them to get laid, they get drummed down. It's not a "challenge" for them, so it's not an accomplishment. Not only that, they're supposed to be making it hard, so a woman who makes it easy to have sex with her is seen in a negative light (for "not doing things they way they should be done"). |

Sex should be for love, not sex for the sake of sex, but most women aren't trying to 'lock' men out. |

the most logical reasoning is that a man having sex with many women results in a lot of babies, one man could hypothetically repopulate the world, as messed up as it would cause the gene pool to be. Obviously this isn't the case with women. |

Think about it: a man could, in theory, impregnate many women and that is good for him in terms of reproductive fitness. So it is desireable for a man to have sex with every woman in town. But a woman can only get pregnant once per year, roughly, so it is greatly to her advantage to be selective. So it is preferable for a woman to only be sleeping with one guy at any given time in her life, and only the very best guy who treats her well and cares about her. |
