"The only reason conspiracy theories work is because dumb people think they're smart because they think differently to most people. That doesn't make you smart, it makes you naive."
Thinking differently is how the world moves forward. Think of if everyone was the same they'd come up with one idea and then give up. Plus conspiracy theories seem to work because people take what they want from the prediction

Really lukas1051?
Here's a quick list of Conspiracy Theories from the last 1/2 century or so that turned out to be true:
Tuskegee Syphilis Study
Nazi gold
Operation Ajax
COINTELPRO
Bay of Pigs invasion
The Cuban Project
Operation Northwoods
Gulf of Tonkin incident
Suppressing Sarkhan
Secret Bombing of Cambodia
Watergate scandal
Iran-Contra
Enron and Arthur Andersen
Secret CIA Prisons
Rendition
Torture
WMD's
Ties to 9/11
You are the gullible citizenry your country adores.

Yes I did. Also I'm very surprised that the search returned the most boring thing in the world when you searched for 'bring'.

Lionhart2 - "Personally, I read every single word anyone ever writes in the forums, often 3 or 4 times."

Really? Well I looked up, "The most bring thing in the world," and found the answer on Yahoo answers.

Here goes.

"I think a toothpick is. It's just always there. Sitting there. With a bunch of other toothpicks trapped in a cylindrical box kind of a thing. So... boring!"

You've read it. You can't unread it. Now you're stuck with it. <----Did you notice the correct use of the word you're there?

Personally, i think conspiricy theorists want to believe there is some all powerful entity deciding who dies when and where as it makes them feel safe. Rather then think a small number if nutjobs from a cave in afghanistan can cause so much death and destruction.

All the cover up, documents being deleted etc was just people in government trying to protect their own arse when asked how come you never put all this information together and stopped it.

Propaganda films lost all credibility when i saw one attack popular mechanics magazine, as they were explaining why the buildings would collapse that way. Yes you crackpots in mothers basement watching shaky footage know better then those who been edumacated in relevant fields

Madest:
I'm happy to accept and even suggest that the government lies to its people.
What is being suggesting here is a conspiracy on an entirely new level involving thousands, implicating hundreds, risking everything, for very little gain, with the end result being so poorly planned that you came out worse than you went in.

It involves a brilliant mastermind to orchestrate, followed by an utter imbecile to screw up as badly as they did.

You mean YOU don't read comments, because your brain asplodes when used. Personally, I read every single word anyone ever writes in the forums, often 3 or 4 times. It might surprise you to know there are some very intelligent people amongst IAB's membership, but then, you just sit in the corner making short monkey grunts instead of reading and learning, so I guess you'll never find that out.

Try reading sometime; who knows, you might even learn to spell "you're".

Why should anyone bother, if you can't be bothered reading the answer? Really, what's the point of asking someone to do something you're not interested in reading the answer for? What are you, a math teacher?

To be perfectly honest, most people only believe that the government did 9/11 because it makes them feel special, that they're separated from all the "sheep", believing the "government's lies". It's the same with every other conspiracy theory; 2012, new world order etc. I know I used to.

The conspiracy theorists that suggest the US govt had anything to do with 9/11 are kidding themselves. Our government is incapable of something so complex. However I tend to believe this guy: William Rodriguez. He was one of only 3 janitors who held a master key to Tower One. He needed to have a top secret security clearance to hold that key. He's credited with saving many lives. I've heard him interviewed and his story is compelling and makes tactical sense for a coordinated air & land attack. He was brought in to testify before the 911 commission. His testimony was taken in secret and none of his testimony is mentioned in the report. As I said I don't think our government could do this but they have proven they DO lie.

I do love those conspiracy theory videos though....

they give far too much credit to the intelligence services though.... think about it, how many times do people look around their office at their co-workers and think 'god you're a moron...even a monkey could do a better job'.

well it's the same in government jobs too.... only more so.
