Thursday, December 31, 2009 11:02:53 PM how do we know they didn't just move the camera to follow the chick's face and left it still when the guy was there? It never actually showed this equipment did it? isn't it possible they just used a regular like, camcorder or something? |

Tuesday, December 29, 2009 7:10:36 PM wow, i heard about this in the news and i think that its so stupid that almost everybody (mainly most black people) ***NOT ALL so dont be all "OMG you are a racist"*** think that everything is racist. HP is not racist its the camera, it cant pick up certain distinctions on a black person, so what? are yall gonna say that cameras are racist? come one people, have a little more since than that...besides, if this facial recognition solfware only recongized black people, they would bitch and complain that it is racist too becuz they would start useing it to catch criminals and then since it only sees black people, its racist... |

Monday, December 28, 2009 12:18:38 AM I have very very pale skin, to the point where random strangers have said "you're very pale aren't you?" and i am never picked up on facial recognition on mine, or anyone i knows, digital camera. All of my friends who are not as pale and friends who have olive and black skin are always fine!I call racist against whiteys! lol But seriously this seems like a big eff up! |

Saturday, December 26, 2009 6:58:02 AM HP figures that black people won't be buying too many computers? Maybe its like those companies that would rather piss off/injure a few people and settle, rather than fix a problem... |

Friday, December 25, 2009 3:55:20 AM I get it. The people who created and tested the thing are all white. So no problems were ever seen before its release!I'm sorry. =P |

Thursday, December 24, 2009 1:26:55 AM They should be really happy about this, considering the law-enforcement applications a breakthrough like this could likely precipitate.. |

Wednesday, December 23, 2009 10:54:51 PM Man! You can tell the software was designed by people of caucasian/asian descent. I think that they just didn't include that aspect of the programming in the beta for this peice. Still LOLz... |

Wednesday, December 23, 2009 10:05:03 PM "I said this in his youtube comments section. It's not a large enough sample to say it's racist. You need more than one African American and one Caucasian to prove racism. Show me 10 African Americans, all their faces failing, and 10 Caucasians, all their faces succeeding. Than we'll say racism."Aaaaand that's about when I stopped laughing. :| |

Wednesday, December 23, 2009 7:24:02 PM A lot of webcam thingies reverse the image... I do not know why. It may be to mimic a mirror which we're more used to. |
