Saturday, December 19, 2009 1:21:38 PM Maybe she left in her will to be buried with a fork, you know, just for the kicks of messing with her family. |

Friday, December 18, 2009 1:23:18 AM now that people have explained the "keep your fork" thing, I kind of understand why she has it, and I have to say I can appreciate it. and hell, if it was her last dying wish and it wasn't inappropriate, then let her "have her cake and eat it, too". get it, get it? ahhh, neva mind, lol. |

Thursday, December 17, 2009 11:22:44 AM you guys have never heard of the "keep your fork" thing? Like when you're at your grandmas and she says "hold on to your fork" and you know there's desert from it... it goes along the same lines, you know.. there's more to come. There was a joke or something about it. |

Thursday, December 17, 2009 9:56:49 AM yeah, because christians (at least baptists that i know) think of your life and afterlife as a meal. they believe that life is the main course but heaven is dessert. the best kinds of dessert (pie/cake) you need a fork to eat. actually if the person really liked ice cream maybe they should be burried with a spoon. it is like people before me have said a way to state "the best is yet to come". its a weird way to state this, and to those who have no idea what its for these people look insane. |

Thursday, December 17, 2009 9:12:30 AM Some people get burried with a fork as a way of saying 'the best is yet to come'.Its something to do with always saving a fork after dinner for dessert. |

Thursday, December 17, 2009 2:05:35 AM Thank you Splurt! I heard that story a long long time ago and as soon as I saw the picture, I knew that was why it was there. I love that story and symbolism to it. It's the very first time I've seen someone actually do it though and I had long forgot about it. Thanks IAB for reminding me :) |
