These things are a plague. They've almost completely ruined fishing around here. They're also suspected of contributing to a death. Guy boating at night, fish hits him in face, loses balance and falls overboard. What a way to go. Death by carp. |

it hurts like hell when a fish jumps out of the lake and hits you. they can leave bruises and cuts. last summer we were on the river in my uncle's boat, a fish jumped out and managed to smack 3 out of 4 people in the boat. >_< |

These fish are dangerous. They are, For some weird reason, Attracted to the sound of the motors. They've knocked people out and even killed a few. |

Saw this happen a couple summers ago while boating on the Illinois/Mississippi. We actually tried to catch a few out of mid-air.Its pretty funny when they smash into the hull. But as other people have pointed out, they are taking over rivers and are a very big nuisance. |
