Saturday, October 17, 2009 5:06:57 AM During the Wonka scene, the music put me pack to first grade, seeing it for the first time, sitting in my little chair with all of my classmates and then BOOM! Dead guy with a centipede on his face. It bothers me now, but not then. But of course, you're talking about a kid who watched your dad play silent hill when he thought you were playing with your dolls in your bedroom. |

Friday, October 16, 2009 7:42:23 PM Those went from scariest to least scary. Although I firmly believe that pink elephants is scarier than the Wonka-boat scene. |

Friday, October 16, 2009 6:49:46 PM I knew Dumbo had to be on there. I loved the song despite the overall creepiness. |

Friday, October 16, 2009 4:45:15 PM I loved Dumbo. I used to skip that part though, not because it was weird, but because it was a song. |

Friday, October 16, 2009 12:33:22 PM (1) I LOVE the brave little toaster!!(2) of course there are going to be horrifying things in children's stories. children's stories *started out* as ways of teaching lessons about life, people, and how the world works. that's where the term "moral of the story" comes from. since the world IS horrifically messed up, it only makes sense that these stories would contain references to evils and things that are generally "messed up". |

Friday, October 16, 2009 11:35:12 AM Before I read this article, I HOPE/BET that scene from Dumbo is in it. The one where the little guy gets drunk and the little bubble-elephants dance.edit: I was totally right. |

Friday, October 16, 2009 10:57:26 AM Um.......where's the Jabberwoky from the Alice in Wonderland TV movie we all were traumatized by in the 80's? Oh wait, here it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7dxhbHAG... What's scarier? The monster or her wig? |

Friday, October 16, 2009 10:05:48 AM As soon as I saw the title, I knew that Willy Wonka was gonna be here, as well as the pink elephants... The Mickey Mouse one was weird, but not exactly creepy. |
