When I stopped putting my belief in zombie Jesus and his invisible Father, I filled the void by caring for other people around me. I put all my faith, time, and love in something I can't see or hear and not enough in myself or others. But I agree, Obama's not going to solve our problems, only we can do that. |

It's just struck me that any theist who makes the "gaping void" argument is actually stating that their own religion is wrong and being too irrational to realise they're doing it.The argument stems from the assumption that their religion is right and of immense importance. That is why they're saying that people who don't follow their religion feel the gaping void of the lack of it. If it wasn't true and/or wasn't important, the lack of it wouldn't leave a gaping void. So the fact that there are many people who don't follow their religion and don't feel this gaping void proves (*according to their own argument*) that their religion is false, unimportant or both. |

America's problems are because of our depenceny on foreign oil, not religion. People start blaming each other instead of working together to make better energy supplies that would not just help America but the whole world.They should have been using that money that was used to air that show to research things like Perpetual Motion Machines and Tesla Technology. |

im not sure i agree with the way he's coming across, but i do like the general idea of
eternal unity.
but who wouldnt want that, right?i think everyone wants to live in a stable and successful country, but i dont think religion has to do anything with that. if anything i think it should be the population looking past things like religion to help each other, thereby helping with the whole eternal unity thing? Dont all religions mostly revolve around that ideal? Looking past how one sees or treats you and accepting and giving love? I feel the issue of religion has only become a warped version of what its supposed to be. idk, just thought i'd throw my thoughts out there. |

USA has had more resources going in than out for over 200 years, just like Imperial Britain. USA has gone to war with almost all socialist countries, emphasizing on that "the commies" were the cause of the atrocities that occured, not the already present chaos in the region. They did not go to war against them to bring "democracy and freedom" to the region, if they had at all been worried about that, they would not have supported the hundreds of tyrants, that even though were brutal and unjust dictators, were friendly towards the United States. They went to war because socialism put a country out of the axis of unjust trade. It made a country not send all their resources to the western world. It was like a slave rebellion that had to be put down. |

This man is exactly what I hate. I don't put my faith in anything. (FYI I'm athiest)
I strongly dislike his arguments. Because of course, putting your faith in a non-existant, non-physical being that has no evidence of ever existing is a great way to use your time and your brain.
And what was funny about his evidence for the songs, those weren't religious at all, and actually were supporting our country. Yes, one was to the tune of "Jesus loves me" (if i recall correctly) but was NOT religious. If he has an issue with patriotism he has another think coming.
And it's even funnier whenever someone refers to God as "Him", because you cant prove God is any sex. There is no evidence to support such a factor. To make it worse, he isn't any sex anyway since hes non-physical.And also, exactly what I was thinking Souladdict22. At least in some countries their "God" may be their leader, who at least exists... |
