Tuesday, September 01, 2009 3:50:10 PM pretty sad that this would happen, even if it was just an accident |

Saturday, August 29, 2009 1:25:22 AM "@TBWRB Doesn't mean we can't be offended or saddened by this, jackass. " It's a piece of air mail. Grow up and realise it wasn't that big a deal. When I was a kid growing up in the 80s, we had the end of the troubles - that was a big deal. Your nation has never grown past feeling invulnerable and now you realise it isn't you are all scared. When you've actually know what a terrorist war is come back and I may let you cry on my shoulder, until then pull your socks up, hold your chin up and you'll get through it all. |

Don't forget the blitz, the fall of rome, nagasaki, ethopia, the sudan, isreal/palestine, the irish troubles, the highland closures, the persecutions in argentia and chile - in fact you're right at the back of a very long list

Thursday, August 27, 2009 9:38:03 PM tigress, the actual photo itself is not the issue. It's the reaction of some of the commenters. After 8 years we are over it. But, it still stings and there's still a wound. Why put up with people throwing salt in it?On IAB, pretty much only the first 5 comments actually have to do with the link. After that, it's tangent city. |

Thursday, August 27, 2009 8:43:15 PM I think I know what Freekill is trying to say. It's ridiculous 8 years from now we are still so sensitive about the subject that people are getting upset at some guy working hte post office who probably was just trying to get things done quickly and was given a plane stamp and happened to stamp the twin towers. And honestly, imo, kinda funny in a, "Ooops, look at that" kinda way. Ok, I can understand not finding it particularly funny. I can't understand actually being upset at it. At least not when it wasn't right after the incident nevermind 8 years later. To me that kind of reaction is just as overreacting as saying we should change our emergency number to 000 because 911 happens to be the same numbers as the date. I could at least understand if it was right after the incident as emotions will be at their highest then, but having a fit now about 911 just is overreactionary. |

Thursday, August 27, 2009 8:28:24 PM Some of you people need to lighten up. 9/11 jokes are funny. As are holocaust and Hiroshima jokes. Here's one for ya,"What the hell was that?" -Mayor of Hiroshima |

Thursday, August 27, 2009 8:26:03 PM dilldog, no one forgets about the 110,000 people killed by atomic bombs. Nobody forgets about the hundreds of thousands of people murdered everyday. Nobody forgets about Darfur. Can you not cry at a loved one's funeral because someone else lost their whole family in a car accident?Should victims of Hurricane Katrina just quit whining because many more people died in the tsunami? |

Thursday, August 27, 2009 8:09:07 PM This picture reminds me of the awful things that happened on 9/11 so I don't think it's funny. Now I'm just sad :( |

Thursday, August 27, 2009 7:53:42 PM Never said it was, but you all talk and moan about the lives of 3,000 while conveniently forgetting the 110,000 people the US military killed. Indeed, one was to end a war and the other to terrorize a country, but what difference is that in terms of the value of life? |

Thursday, August 27, 2009 1:30:49 PM Hiroshima and Nagasaki Bombings: ~110,000 death within 24 hours Double that in 3 months time. Virtually limitless number of victims, both past, present, and future, due to genetic defects caused by radiation.9/11: 3000 deaths 110,000>3000 |
