Indeed, it's not its ass, it's its mouth. It's not even an octopus too. Could be architeuthis, or giant squid. In that case, the description is quite accurate. |

To those who keep saying that an octopus'/squid's mouth is also its anus- I believe the anus is attached to a tube that is within the siphon. This is also where the gills are, for the squid, and helps both the squid and octopus with moving when it contracts.
