NCAA is highly corrupt and are just in it for the money. the other thing that irks people is the NBA, kids get full paid scholarships to schools simply because they didn't get drafted out of high school. after 1 year in college, they go to the NBA, that scholarship was wasted. perfect example was one of the kids they talked about. he got a 2.0 his first semester but was taking almost all kinesiology(sp?) classes (taught by basketball profs) and second semester signed up for normal classes and didn't attend not one. name slips my mind. people making millions to play a kids game is sad. its like actors making millions and being upset...we pay too much to be entertained. |

"This is what happens when you pay basketball players more then college professors. Sports fans are dumb, violent and worth the cup of beer they piss in. Remove sports from school and start putting emphasis on education. This countries priorities are shot to hell."damn straight!! good to know there are still some "sane" people out there with good common sense...being a professor, i hope they take your advice...probably not in my lifetime though..lol... =) |
