Saturday, June 27, 2009 2:14:52 AM immortal...I'm a biggg pot head and I'm happy weed is illegal...they would tax the poo out of it if it were legal...and yay for my first link being approved :) lolHaha I see where your goin. Myself enjoys the wonders of weed but understand that it's so expensive right now because of it being illegal and is automatically inflated because of the risk of the nosy government, kinda like a mafia situation. If we legalize marijuana, that inflation "should" drop so it's only $50 an ounce even for some of your purp, widow, ect. but only to be replaced by a tax. Shouldn't do much harm. Toke on. |

Saturday, June 06, 2009 4:25:36 PM Hell, within a 10-mile radius of my town there are at least 10 smoke shops/tobacco shops/head shops. You can't say "bong," it's a "water pipe." You can't mention you're using anything there for weed. It's all for tobacco use. I mean, salvia's legal here too, so "herb" is okay. Texas is weird like that. Like our no-dildo laws. You can't call them "dildos," they're either "educational models" if they look realistic, or "personal massage devices" if they don't. It's bogus, but you become used to it. Sometimes, IMO, I find it hilariously fun to go to stores and carefully "negotiate" purchasing pipes and sex toys and the like. The merchant KNOWS what you're using it for. You know they know. They'll carefully go around the lingo as well, and it just makes everything amusing, knowing it's completely legit. |

Saturday, June 06, 2009 4:08:29 PM I saw a shop down at the mall selling these, i asked mum and she said it's legal to sell them as ornaments if they have never been used. As soon as they are used it becomes illegal. |

Saturday, June 06, 2009 3:26:27 PM Here in California (where you would think it would be less regulated), the Alcohol,Tobacco & Drug Enforcement Agency has just issued new guidelines:"Items that are now illegal to sell include capsules, balloons, plastic baggies and other containers that could be used to package small quantities of drugs, pipes made out of metal, wood, acrylic, glass, stone plastic, or ceramic, pipe screens, water pipes (also called "bongs"), roach clips used to smoke marijuana, and small scales and balances that could be used for weighing drugs." Well, that pretty much clears it up. No more balloons for parties, can't pack your sandwich in a baggie and god forbid you should need a scale smaller than the ones at the market 'cuz those are illegal too! Actually, it's no that bad because these rules only apply to establishments that have liquor licenses. You'll just have to buy your bongs, etc. at a store without liquor. Okay. |

Saturday, June 06, 2009 3:15:04 PM If you're stupid enough to say you're going to use it for pot, you're going to get caught eventually. Unfortunately, you're also going to bring a store owner / clerk down with you.Lots of these stores have a list of "no-no" words (like "bong," "pot," and "weed"), where if you say one of them, they won't sell to you because they're afraid of this happening to them. |

Saturday, June 06, 2009 2:54:31 PM So you're not supposed to sell those? Over here in Colorado, they sell those in the stores in the mall. And no one has a problem with that.

Saturday, June 06, 2009 2:39:47 PM To generalize the law a little bit, say the guy was only selling your casual, everyday pipe.
Is the guy buying it for weed or tobacco? There's no way to tell. You start adding little fancy things to the pipe and all of a sudden they become prettier and more obvious that they're intended for weed.

The question is: Where's the line drawn? Tougher call than you think! The obvious solution to would be regulating the height/size. But anyone can say they're using them for tobacco -- you have no choice but to believe them. |

Saturday, June 06, 2009 2:14:19 PM "I've got some great weed that'll go great in that bong" lmfao. Oh you uptight conservatives, how you make me laugh."watch this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0GZznxMC... before you generalize know who you are talking about. just cuz someone is conservative doesn't mean we are uptight or archaic, you just obviously don't know enough of us. |

Saturday, June 06, 2009 12:41:49 PM wat? I don't even.I was in that store not even 3 weeks ago! My boyfriend and I had an argument after he went in for Sheesha and I was surprised they have bongs. I'm from the west coast where selling them is illegal. He argued that in NY they were perfectly legal and everyone sells them, but I heard of a weird clause. Knew I was right. It's Retarded. What do you think they are for? How about we stop wasting my god damn tax dollars on weed and start trying to get enough cops to where my car isn't in a hit and run with officers taking 20 minutes and then not looking for him because there aren't enough cops?! F-you suffolk! |

Saturday, June 06, 2009 12:06:19 PM "I think one of the reasons that weed isn't legal is because corporations haven't found a way to market it and compete with home-growers, thus pressuring our govt. to keep it illegal."This is moronic on a lot of different levels. I guarantee you, companies are waiting in line with marketing strategies, distribution systems in place, etc. for the day pot becomes legal. Your argument is as strong as a lunar wind. |

Saturday, June 06, 2009 11:44:44 AM It sucks that such a nice guy would have to face this kind of bullsh#t from our government. I couldn't forgive a gunman and give him money for food after he threatened me, guys like this need to be rewarded and not punished for something that is legal in 43 states. |

Saturday, June 06, 2009 11:43:40 AM People had been smoking pot for centuries before the 60's, where they suddenly made it illegal for no apparant reason. Seriously, its a plant, a herb, It grows in nature. I think they should try it before they make accusations about it. |
