I spoke with someone last week who was well pleased to have got a bodykit for their car for "only" £1500. They paid £1500 to have some bits of plastic glued to their car (which is worth about the same) and they thought it was a bargain. Then there's the people who get the exhaust changed to make the car sound more powerful...but it doesn't. So they have a 1.2l little city car with a bigger exhaust and a bodykit costing as much as the car...and it still does 0-60 in ~12s if they're going downhill. They could have used the money to buy a better car instead. Of course, it must be fitted with a sound system more powerful than the engine. That's mandatory, apparently. Still, it gives other people something to laugh at. |
