Saturday, June 27, 2009 12:39:33 PM Am I the only one who knows what this is? Its the longhand-summation proof that the Riemann Zeta Function's fractal structure approximates any other analytic complex fuction (that satisfies the Cauchy-Riemann conditions) given it doesn't have any zeros on the critical line (1/2 + it). |

Wednesday, May 27, 2009 5:50:11 PM I recognize the last part of the equation eo=({ra)} from my physics text book. The rest is gibberish to me. Maybe it is like that rumored equation that predicts the future... |

Wednesday, May 27, 2009 4:44:03 AM "how can you multiply against an uncertainty such as the wave-function?"Wave functions aren't uncertainties, just mathematical tools used to study physical systems. Actually, in order to find the probability that a system is in a certain state, you (basically) multiply the wave function by itself. |

Wednesday, May 27, 2009 4:34:09 AM @idolmonkeyYou'll re-learn the basics if you continue studying physics in college, so what's wrong with trying to inspire a few students with a glimpse at what physics can be used to do? My problem in high school was the exact opposite. My teachers were so short sighted that they didn't care (or know) how what I was learning would apply to my future studies. I think it's better for a teacher to set their expectations high, and have the students fall a little short than to set the bar too low. |
