Wednesday, May 20, 2009 6:39:48 AM "THIS ISN'T NEWS. F*ck you media."Thank you, LazyMe! No one else was going to say it. Mind you it's cute and heartwarming, but there's way too many of these stories in the news, especially now. It got old a long time ago. Every time I watch the news, I feel like they're spraying me in the face with their runny discharge. |

Wednesday, May 20, 2009 6:19:32 AM I've seen video footage of ducklings jumping out of trees to the ground when they hatched...but I guess they were landing in dirt and leaves, not concrete....I like it when they spread their litttle inadequate wings lol |

Wednesday, May 20, 2009 3:06:20 AM You know because bankers have nothing better to do. Especially now. This same duck every year hatches her eggs up there. Old news for us. Here is the duck cam http://www.spokesman.com/duckcam/ |

Wednesday, May 20, 2009 2:05:07 AM SoCal I don't think you really understand genetics and inherited traits. They jumped off the ledge because that's what they saw the mother do, and they were following her call. The ducklings don't know what concrete is and so, are just going to take the risk. You see all types of hatchling birds jumping to what would be their death, from high nests. Some fly. Some bounce. Its not inherited stupidity. Its just natural. |

Wednesday, May 20, 2009 1:49:36 AM Yeah but this is a clear cut example of survival of the fittest, if he wasnt there those ducks would all be dead due to a really stupid mother duck. Now alive, they are going to mate and there are going to be hundreds of ducklings just like them that are willing to jump off of a ledge because they are too stupid. |
