nvm my previous comment. i thought they were talking about the potential solar flare in 2012 that would erase technology and send us into a dark age not some other crazy doomsday prediction about a specific day. |

He's pretty much the figurehead to the public of the astronomy/astrophysics community. Almost like a new Carl Sagan. People will still be caught up in all of the BS though. I never thought I'd go through Y2K again. |
