Almightybob-Wow, where to start…First, the Galactic Alignment is in reference to the affect it has on Earth not the Galactic Center. Second, according to your theory then what gravitational forces are holding the other billion stars in our galaxy? Why haven’t they flown off on their own? Third, I would take issue with the placement of our Sun in the Galactic Arm but I really don’t feel like argueing that with as it has nothing to do with what I was saying. My reference to the Sun within the Galactic Arm was to it location as seen from a side view, hence why I said thickness. So the X axis. |

Davymid-To answer your statement, "....I don't hear many facts from you at all..." that would be because I have not heard any facts presented to counter my arguement! What I have heard is for me to be called, "Troll”, “that I wear a tin foil hat”, “lol u lose at life, science, concept of time and OMFG! YOUR OVER 40 AND ON TER INTERNETS”, “crazy”, “idiot”,”, and my personal favorites “childish” and “annoying”. Yet nothing from the moderator about these people, right? maddog, you're just babbling nonsensical pseudoscience. Here is a picture of the Milky Way, with our position marked. 
Now the miniscule change that any particular orbit of Earth brings about in this system will clearly make roughly bugger-all difference to anything. Do you have any idea how quickly gravitational forces decay with distance? Even the Alpha Centauri star system exerts negligible gravitational pull on us, and it's only 4 and a bit light years away. |

p.s. addition to last point: I did not "choose to throw in" the fact that I have a PhD. It was a deliberate retort to your direct accusation and singling out of me as being "too dense to understand". Seemed relevant to the accusation. |

There's also one just like that, which goes through the entire song in message boxes before given the opportunity to X out -- if you press OK too many times and miss the last one, you're f*cked and have to start all over again (I'm sure you've seen it before). I actually thought that was the one you linked (and good thing it wasn't). |

What college offers a PHD in Science? One would say I have a PHD in Physics or a PHD in Microbiology but a PHD in Science!
Maddog, I don't hear many facts from you at all, I hear a lot of vitriol, flaming of other users, and trolling. Almost every post you've made has been insulting, from "Meat Puppets!!" to "Talking Monkeys!", to suggesting others stick to playing videogames, to insinuating that I'm lying about my qualifications (my PhD is in Geophysics (a science) from the University of Aberdeen in the UK).
