The one thing I can't believe is that he SWORE at HER!!! When I worked at a phone company taking calls for billing and such if people swore at me I had to just take it "People get angry, just solve the issue and get on with it" Thats what my manager said. If I swore at a customer instant dismissal... This cop was playing with a life! I've rung triple 000 (Australia) screaming and swearing and they've just got on with it.

Oh by the way on the comment in regards to not getting the same person In a call centre such as a 911 place there is a system on the phone lines called line seeker so if I ring and get officer douche, he hangs up I ring back the system has my number stored it will try to push me back through to Officer Douche. So its totally believable that she would have to speak to him. the wanker.

This is alittle redictulous, I hope they win the settlement the officer should of been much more patient with her, obviously in an emergency situation your going to be alittle more verbal then you would other wise. I think on top of his 2 weeks he should be fined or something.

I think, even for a teenage girl in that terrifying of a situation, should have acted a little more grown up. If you call and the guy tells you to stop swearing, the grown up thing to do is take a breath and try something along the lines of "I'm sorry, I'm freaked out, it's my dad, I need an ambulance".

That being said, officer guy needs to buck the f uck up and do his job. You're supposed to be able to deal with hysterical people. It's kind of why we pay you.

....Dragosal did you even watch the video? He picked up her calls. And hung up each time, she never hung up on him I don't think. He -addresses- her in the calls. So before -you- pass judgement, perhaps you should pay a bit more attention hmm? She wasnt getting an answer, so after she waited for a while she probably said "what the drat?" in a sort of "where are they!?" way. And also the way he talked to her in the video was just uncalled for. Listen.
I do not -care- if they have a stressful job. They're trained for it. He was on the force for (what did the video say?) 20-some'n years? Yeah he should have handled himself a lot better.
Maybe this guy did just make one mistake, but my drating -god- that mistake was a pretty bad one to make. He hung up on her three times after she repeatedly asked for an ambulance. And he also told her he would refuse to send one. Way to be a good cop.

The_Maddog if you pull your head out of your ass you can listen, one of two things happend on the first call. either she let it ring and didnt give anyone a chance to pick up OR she didnt like what the guy had to say and hung up like an idiot. then she called again, and she got another person! which is where this recording is from! you dont get the same person everytime u call 911 dumbass! they have their own police department so its obviously not a very small town. and even if it is they would have multiple people woking the emergancy lines. people are always so drating ready to down the police when a couple of them dont handle things right. do you have any idea how hard it is to do their job? they usually retire after being in for only 20ish years because they dont live long after that because or heart problems caused by their jobs! i'm not denying that some people shouldnt be cops but you cant be so ready to pass judgement on the police

He deserves to get fired. Swearing? Suck it up, man. Her father's having a stroke and all he can think about everyone being nice to the king. Biggest douchebag ever.

the cop coulda handled it alot better but she really had no reason to be swearing.

Totally irrelvant! Nobody picked up on the first call and she was very frightened and obviously frustrated at the lack of response.

The guy dosnt deserve to be a police officer. You do not EVER hang up the phone on somebody who desperate for an ambulance. This cop did that repeatedly!

Considering this someone who is there to protect the public, deal with tense senarios and evaluate what course of action to take in emergency situations he did a pretty crap job. He hung up the phone! The emergancy services are supposed (even under US law) supposed to follow up on ALL calls.

Dont make excuses for this scrote!

That guy deserves to be fired... Really, if you cant handle somebody saying a few swear words when their father is potentially DYING... If he first found out it was something mild like reporting a theft then it would be more understandable.
Also notice how he tried to blame her?
"Do you know whats wrong?"
"No I couldnt get that out of her"

maybe if you didnt hang up...

what a douche! no she didn't need to swear but she was freaking out of course she wasn't thinking about being on her best behavior. i don't think he should have gotten fired, but definitely more training and a law suit.

No she's not in jail, but what happened is actually even worse. Yikes.

This guy and the cop who detained Ryan Moats need to go drive off a cliff together.

No reason to swear? Are you serious? If my dad was dying in front of me and 911 wasnt answering I'd be dropping F-Bombs like crazy.

That made me so mad! As someone who has had to call 911 for her dad, I understand how freaked out she was. I would've been so upset if the 911 operator had hung up on me!

that's messed up

if your dad is on the floor, possibly dying, you're not going to care whether or not you are being polite and courteous
