Wednesday, May 06, 2009 12:03:12 AM Hahaha, that was great. I felt the same way when they made new episodes of Red Dwarf, the special effects just weren't crap enough. And I really want to see that movie. I'm not a trekkie, but it looks good. And have you seen the reviews!? 100% on rottentomatoes and highest score on metacritic this year, can't be that bad. |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 11:32:01 PM Aww man, the thing on the ticker about unemployment being more of an issue for men than severing a dick vein was great. Movie correspondent was hot |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 9:19:37 PM As I die-hard trekkie who spent over $4k on the DVD sets of all the series, I hated the whole idea and have been vocal in IAB forums in the past about the new movie. Having now seen a couple of previews and some behind-the-scenes docs, I'm thinking, maybe they did a decent job after all. Still haven't seen the movie, but I'm opening the mind a bit toward it atm. |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 4:33:34 PM I dont get it! The whole spoof "Onion" thing aside, I dont get why they are trying to reboot the franchise. I do intend to see the movie because the trailer makes it look pretty damn good, but I just dont get why it has to be Kirk, Spock and co on the Enterpise again! I felt the whole Star Trek thing was more about the future as a whole rather than a few individuals. I like'd Star Trek: Voyager compared to all the rest anyway. It wasnt so much I didnt like the other series rather than I didnt really watch them or get the time too! |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 4:16:57 PM The new not-really-Trek film might well be watchable. If he wasn't passing it off as Trek, I'd probably watch it. The trailers make it look entertaining. I'd probably like it and probably hope a TV series was made from it, if it wasn't being passed off as Trek. It's not the quality of the film that's the issue, or the type of film it is. The issue is what it's intended to and will succeed in doing - erasing the original Star Trek, the very thing that is being used to sell this film, by *replacing* it with something else. This isn't a prequel, it's an over-write. The complaints have nothing to do with it being "watchable". |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 2:33:34 PM Priceless....Onion's always good for a laugh. I hate Star Trek, but I may actually see this movie since it's not a "nerd-only" cult film like the previous ones. It seems that everything JJ touches is gold. Next Spielberg IMO. |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 1:19:47 PM I'm amazed at the actual comments that are completely backing up this video. A movie with a message is no good if it sucks dick. I for one will see this movie, and be glad when I find out it didn't suck like previous movies, which I enjoyed regardless. |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 12:15:16 PM I'm debating whether to see watch the new Star Trek film when it comes out. I am a fan of many of the series and have watched most of the films but this one doesn't feel like the others, it looks like it was made to appeal to a wider audience while leaving out the fans. |

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 12:14:35 PM As a person who enjoys Star Trek, I'm glad they mocked fans who feel the movie has gone a less intellectual root and instead is trying to be just another generic action film with only lip-service to Star Trek conventions. I think the next video should be how some hacks are claiming Citizen Kane shouldn't have explosions and gunfights, which is totally drating stupid, am I right? Am I? I think so! |
