"At what point to you have to warn air traffic control you'll be launching a small missle?"You notify them prior. I would give it a good 48 hours just to be in the safe. Also, I would think the airfield would be the best place to do it. I, somehow, doubt they would want you launching that out of your backyard. And things like these are not uncommon at all. Rocket launches, parachutes, gliders, etc... all operate in previously designated areas where it's safe to do so. (yay for my ATC training!) |
