Thursday, April 16, 2009 12:14:33 PM I played that in band! It's structured like a piano with the notes in the same places. That took a lot of skillz!!!!!!! |

Thursday, April 16, 2009 6:32:50 AM Man, all you haters need to relax. I'm from NYC and I use the subway system regularly. Often there are performers that I don't want to see/hear, so I'll just ignore them and/or walk away. Believe it or not, most subway stops are big enough that you can walk away and barely hear the music. Generally, these performers stay at these larger stops, since there are more people there, Also, rarely have I had to wait more than 3 minutes for a train (there are exceptions), so it's not that big of a deal.At least these people are performing for money (and you don't have to give them any if you don't want - amazing how that works). What I can't stand is when I'm trapped in a subway car with a smelly homeless guy who hasn't showered in years coming up to each person and begging for money. |

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 10:22:26 PM "It bothers me that many times an "artist" (heavy emphasis on the quotes, in fact I air quoted as I typed that[don't ask me how]) will put their right to express themselves above everybody else's right to not have to listen to or look at whatever it is the "artist" considers "art.""What are street performers supposed to do? Magically conjure up enough money to get a recording studio to record their music, then somehow also get the money for advertising, and for the cost of the CDs? There's a reason they're on the street, dude... |

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 9:40:04 PM It feels like they're challenging people to actually bully them and break their instruments so that they can call the cops, request the camera footage ( They probably took the spot right in the view field of some security camera ) and sue the crap out of the bullies.Row row fight the powah. |

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 9:36:43 PM I wouldn't mind them playing in a park or something relaxing... the fact that it's in a subway makes everything seems kinda dystopian-like.And is it so hard to be original these days or what?... Cookie Monster is copyrighted you know. |

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 9:15:31 PM Lost, I'm all for art. I love paintings and music. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it and it adds a lot to society. Though these guys are obviously talented, I just found this music to be somewhat annoying and these guys might want to consider that not everyone would like to listen to their music. Especially in an area where people have to stand for a while. A street corner would be different. That way you can just pass by. These guys are in an area where people are sometimes forced to be for an extended period of time. Take whatever kind of music you don't like and let me blast my stereo (in a public area) where you can't help but hear it. It would get slightly annoying after a while, wouldn't it? |

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 7:56:46 PM Super...so should we all just not make art because you might not like it? Because, in my opinion, those guys are so f**king talented that most of the people in that subway were probably thinking (and I emphasize on the quotes) "wow, that's pretty damn creative and WOW, they can actually play really well!" Next time, why don't you just stay home so your sensitive little eyes and ears don't have to see something that's not your dick or a tv screen. Unsophisticated drooler... |
