these designs arent meant to be worn. these types of fashion shows are basically art showcases using clothing and the body as canvas. |

These aren't meant to be practical. In this sense, it's meant to be an art. Look at the creativity and detail the designer put into these clothes. I think this is a really impressive collection. Besides, look at all the hype it's generating! He's obviously done something completely outside the box. |

Okay folks, this is what is considered Avant-Garde fashion. It is not meant to be marketed to mainstream. It is meant to push the boundaries. Many of those looks could be watered down to become actual wearable clothing. (some with a LOT of watering down!) For instance, look number 2, that's a pretty kicking coat. Number 3, that skirt is actually really pretty. And the last one, do you not see the detail that went into making that (what appears to be) coat?!No, Avant-Garde Fashion is not meant to be worn in real life, it's simply meant to push the boundaries as far as you can push them, and get people to discuss it. That is what many artists want, people discussing what they've created.
