Wednesday, March 11, 2009 9:38:06 PM like a rolling stone?and the 80s were not rock and roll, they were the death of rock and roll. in other words, f*ck AC/DC. |

Wednesday, March 11, 2009 8:31:19 PM never heard that waiting room one, but it was kinda catchy did the person say Iceland was literally the land of ice and snow? (referring to the comment on the page where led zeppelin is) Someone needs to do their homework, Greenland is icy, Iceland is not. dork lol (Sorry I just like to be the annoying know it all now and then)and I do have to agree Ac/Dc's back in black one of the best openings |

Wednesday, March 11, 2009 8:14:08 PM I have no idea if it was an opener but all along the watchtower, remade by jimi hendrix, is easily one of the most epic rock songs of all time. |

Wednesday, March 11, 2009 3:38:43 PM I'm pretty sure for number 22 they meant Belfast, Northern Ireland, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that there is a Belfast, Ireland somewhere... |

Wednesday, March 11, 2009 3:36:26 PM I was going to say that this list sucked... but they sorta nailed the top 10. Of course I could name some things that they missed, and maybe Speak to Me/Breathe isn't quite a rock song, but the top 10 saved this list entirely. |

Wednesday, March 11, 2009 1:05:29 PM Nice, but I wouldn't have put The Beatles anywhere near this list, it being rock n roll and all that. Anyone that has doubts, check out their cover of Roll Over Beethoven, appalling Chuck Berry must still be pissed off |

Wednesday, March 11, 2009 12:26:21 PM I went into this thinking I would argue against their choices, but actually I very strongly agree with most of their selections. Immigrant Song is definitely one of the best openings to an album, and I was very surprised that they included one of my favorite opening tracks, Bat out of Hell, considering I thought everyone except me made fun of Meat Loaf as an untalented hack, but there is no denying that is a great leadoff song for an album. The only one that I think is missing is 2112 by Rush. |

Wednesday, March 11, 2009 10:44:07 AM They missed a couple of beauties though:Should I Stay or Should I Go - The Clash. Walking on the Sun - Smash Mouth. Things Have Changed - Bob Dylan. Two Tribes - Frankie Goes to Hollywood (the version with the air-raid siren at the beginning). |
