People treat all violence as some evil monster. From pinching someone to murdering them, it's all exactly the same, and the worst possible thing that could ever happen to a human being in a trillion years. The fact is, what the cop wrong wasn't that he hit the girl, it's that he lost his temper. You all think shes dead? You think she's permanently disfigured? You think shes now handicapped? No. A half-assed kick and a few punches to the head aren't the end of the drating world. Chances are she's less hurt after that than if she had fallen off a bicycle. why are people saying she should have known better? even if you are oblivious to the fact that this is so far from acceptable behavior by a police officer, this guy is still facing a year in prison (link below). you're not supposed to have to be afraid of cops. legally they can be prosecuted and the system can gradually improve. |

He wrote in his report that she struck him in the shin with her shoe, "causing injury and pain" and that she only required medical attention because she suffered a panic attack (after being tackled in punched in the head, but I guess that was to be inferred). |
