Okay I read more comments after posting my first one and I have to add. Yes she stole her mothers car, something that MANY teenagers do. Maybe she deserved to get her ass beat for it. But the person that should have done that? Mom and dad the police officer (male) has NO RIGHT putting his hands on a 15 year old girl like this. If it were my daughter I would beat the hell outta the officer for touching her. He better hope she doesn't have a mean daddy |

shes a teen, they are supposed to be stupid sometimes. That guy is an adult and a cop. Thats not the way to handle a half your size girl who would pose no threat to you. He should have just locked the door in her face. Losing his temper and hitting her like that is losing reason and that kind of behavior shows he could do a lot worse in other circumstances... |

It didn't even look like she kicked her shoe at him. It looks like she had an attitue while kicking her shoes out of the room. That looks like a solitary room and you can't have your shoes in one. What about the other cop? He could have helped her it looks like he is holding her arms? Both cops should be fired and charged with child abuse in my opinion |

No way in hell was that due force, what the hell is she going to do to him, scratch him? tops.
No way in hell that anything she could do whilst being put in a cell could justify him slamming her head into a wall and punching her in the head while she's on the ground.

before i even comment on the video, i first have to comment on ... the comments!its sickening how nearly half of everyone who responded said something like," thats what happens when you mess with the police, you shouldn't defend her." lol? ...a man who could easily be 2-3 times her weight throws that girl around like its nothing... unless she murdered his family, i really don't see a valid explanation of this. being a cop/pig doesn't give you the right to beat the poo out of people when ever you feel like it... they're supposed to "protect" us, no? hell, if everyone were allowed to kick peoples asses whenever they were being a dick, hospitals would be packed right now. oh and please... kicking her shoe at him? that guy needs to grow a pair. i hope he never has kids of his own... or he'll be on the news again, this time with child abuse, could u imagine? - "eat your broccoli... ...I SAID EAT YOUR GODDAMN MOTHERdratING BROCCOLI!!!" Its all about reasonable force. That was not reasonable force. That was someone losing their temper and forcing a point. And his mate who obviously feels he shouldn't be doing it should show some balls and call him on it, not assist him. |

Hard to say why he did that. We only see what's in the video, no audio, or what happened prior to the video. As far as kicking off her shoes, police don't allow you to wear shoes when being held, so that they can't be used as a weapon, or to hurt yourself. Even if she hit him with the kicked off shoe, it appears he over-reacted. |

She certainly didn't deserve that. Even though it looked like she purposefully kicked off her shoes in the direction of the officer his over reaction was totally unwaranted. He could simply have restrained her and added an "assaulting a police officer" charge. Instead he decided to take matters into his own hands and issue punishment there and then which was an over forceful assault on the young lady. He may be able to find an excuse for the initial punch that downed her. But punching someone who is in handcuffs on a floor... how can you possibly justify that. I'd like to hear further news on this in future and see exactly what happens to this officer. |

Sounds to me like no one bothered to read the article or see the follow-up video.The girl was arrested for taking her mother's car without permission.
After that, she was complacent and obedient in the police station. I even thought I saw her smile at something the abusing officer said before he took her to the holding cell.
Next came this short piece of work, where she kicked off her shoes most likely without thinking. The police officer overreacted and she in no way deserved what he did to her.
Afterward they called medics to check her out. |
