Thursday, April 16, 2009 8:11:22 AM Thats pretty cool. I love how you're so used to the eyes being on the front, that you think the olfactory glands are the eyes. Science amazes me. I wish I had been a nerd in school so I paid attention more. lol |

Wednesday, February 25, 2009 1:32:53 AM saisay: we DO live in the wild. In fact we live everywhere, on every continent and everywhere we're at the top of the food chain, regardless of technology levels. |

Tuesday, February 24, 2009 10:42:40 PM "lol, if we lived in the wild, we would certanly not be top of the food chain."--Depends on how much technology development you'd grant us, and how much time you'd give us to get proficient at using the tech. Ever seen Masai tribal lion hunts? Some tribes have a tradition of taking down male lions with nothing but wood spears as a manner of 'initiation to manhood'. |

Tuesday, February 24, 2009 7:55:37 PM "It doesn't have to be needed. It just has to not be a disadvantage in survival or reproduction. If there wasn't another variation that worked better for those purposes, this one wouldn't be eliminated."Generally, for an entire species to gain a genetic trait, there needs to be something pushing it in order to weed out those that do not have the trait. You are right that for the animal to keep this trait, it doesn't have to necessarily need it, just not be hindered by it. At least, that's what I learned in biology. >_> |
