Wednesday, February 25, 2009 4:27:27 PM by making you pay a growers tax or making you pay taxes on how much you yield, and you would probably need a growers card, which makes them even more money |

Monday, February 23, 2009 4:48:04 PM It should be legal because it will provide us with things that will help the enviroment. Gas, paper, cloths things like that. Thats the only reason it's illegal. Less money for those big buisnesses. What's alcohol and tobbaco do except kill ppl the worst ways? why is drunk driving illegal but drinking isnt? i dunno |

Monday, February 23, 2009 1:53:49 PM "The fact that it isn't a productive pastime has nothing to do with the fact that what I do in my spare time should be my and only my decision, not the governments."Yes thats true. Although that line or reasoning isn't something that can always be used and make sense. But still, what is the point of legalising it? It would still be legalising something that isn't smart, isn't necessary.. it gives the impression that its OK to do it. Why legalise it just so people with no self-control or love for their bodies can do it legally? |

Monday, February 23, 2009 1:52:59 PM "Sure, everyone will be willing to pay for taxed pot, instead of getting the CHEAPER stuff from other sources."Was thinking that exact same thing. There will always be a black market. |

Monday, February 23, 2009 10:38:53 AM "yes, with an age restriction. my argument is two words: "alcohol" and "tobacco""So we'll just add to the list, shall we? Hell, if we're handing out legality, we may as well stick murder on there. Just because cigarettes and booze are legal, it doesn't mean every new substance we come across should be treated in the same way. Also, what's this crap about putting a tax on it to help the finanicial problems? Sure, everyone will be willing to pay for taxed pot, instead of getting the CHEAPER stuff from other sources. So, SO naive... |

Monday, February 23, 2009 7:50:11 AM whoa, leopardson...where are you getting your doobage from??? "99% laced with pcp or herion" The problem is people dont do their own research, they listen to the talking points of other people and cling to it. High ranked DEA officials have come out on the record saying its a waste of their time and money to fight the "war on pot"...its not the devil's drug and everyone knows it now...all that 50's - 80's propaganda has been unvieled and we all know the truth now so lets stop acting like Weed is destroying our country |

Monday, February 23, 2009 6:45:54 AM A good reason to legalize it is to control the the whole business and stop criminal organization to make money out of it. And quality control is a good thing to. It will create lots of job too. |

Monday, February 23, 2009 6:41:32 AM I don't drink, I don't smoke, I don't partake in any alternative medicine or drugs. I DO think pot should be legal. The amount of money invested by the government into combating it is staggering, considering how mild of a "drug" it is. I mean...seriously, people can't even decide if its all that bad for your health, and it even has some health benefits attached. Is it really worth all this effort to "combat"? Make it legal, slap some government regulation on it, and any bought weed (ie not homegrown), should be taxed just like cigs. Turn that wasted gov money into a profit, I say. |

Monday, February 23, 2009 5:27:19 AM Also Ass Bandit I’m talking about your comments on the IAB post after this one. And every one knows that hemp in more useful then smoke able cannabis so grow up. Your rebuttal to my post gives us a bad name just for the fact that you think fighting for hemp is unimportant. |

Monday, February 23, 2009 5:15:25 AM Hey Ass Bandit why don’t you post some comments that make since and make good points to the topic. Nothing you have said in the whole blog have any intelligent references as to why cannabis would/should be legalized. Just silly arguments with kids about how ya’ll cant type what you’re meaning to say. And I love getting off on THC but the reality is hemp should be number one reason why it should be legal. Other wise cannabis it is just a drug and should only be used in medical practice. Go google “Hemp for Victory†and get slapped with some knowledge. |

Monday, February 23, 2009 4:59:40 AM i think it should be legal along with many other things. drugs, in particular, though, are stupid to have illegal. prohibition proved that anytime you make a substance people want illegal, all you're really doing, is empowering people willing to work outside the law. seriously, think about have many illicit activities are funded by drug sales? take all that away, (by making it available at the local convenience store) and what can those guys do?not only that, but seriously, the role of our government, as defined by the founders of this country, was to to protect us, and little more. anytime i hear about someone getting a jail sentence for some pot, it makes me sad thinking that a more than likely good person is going to jail, and now, as a taxpayer, i gotta help foot that bill! |

Monday, February 23, 2009 3:29:44 AM Might as well, it's up to the person to decide what goes in and out of their body. And if it helps their mental health w/e makes them feel good then I think that's something a little like pursuit of happiness? Dunno what I'm talking bout. But w/e. |

Monday, February 23, 2009 3:04:35 AM I’m going to try and post the only reason why Cannabis should be legal. And that people, would be Hemp, and hemp alone. I’m 25, live in Texas, and have smoked pot for years and years. Nothing bad or negative has ever happened to me other then having to look over my shoulder, because of cannabis. It doesn’t matter if its legal or not people are going to do it if they want. So stop pointing out that cannabis is safer then tobacco and booze and start to focus on the fact that we can’t grow hemp because cannabis is illegal. And go Google that (hemp) if you need a better reason to hate the Gov. and have cannabis made legal. Also remember that all the drugs you kids are scared of, coke, MDMA, and the real dope, heroin, used to be legal and medically regulated until a synthetic prescriptions were created. Think for your self. Question authority. Hemp for Victory!

Sunday, February 22, 2009 10:52:26 PM They way I see it, people all already doing it, and the places they are getting it are lacing it with even worse stuff. If you legalize it, you can regulate it, moderate it, make money off it, and most importantly, TAX it. It would be a nice shot in the arm for the economy in America. As for the age limit, 21 if that's what they keep the alcohol age limit. 18 otherwise. |
