Most likely, the bullet went through the seat headrest before it hit her weave. That could slow it down quite a bit.Or it could have ricocheted off of a metal part of the car first. It also could have been an undercharged round (not enough gunpowder or impure gunpowder). This usually results in the bullet getting stuck in the barrel, but sometimes they just come out at traveling too slow to do any real damage. She said it hit her hard, so I'm thinking it was just slowed enough by the headrest, and finally caught by the weave. |
