Let's try this again. The film is real, it is happening, it has been happening for a long time now. Whether it will be good or not remains to be seen. As for this: "Her's [sic] my theory on Donnie he's schizophrenic...". Actually, no. If you watch the director's cut of the film, you learn that he was not, in fact, schizophrenic. His medications were a placebo, and everything that happened to him really did happen. Even if he were schizophrenic (which he's not) it would be totally reasonable to think that his sister might be coming down with similar symptoms, since this disease can be hereditary. Regardless, though, the whole point of the film is that Donnie is some kind of twisted superhero who sacrifices himself to save the world. If these events really took place, it's not out of the realm of reality to think that somewhere along the line things might need saving once again, and the forces that utilized him would utilize his sister as well. |
