Eh, this is old. Someone pointed this out ages ago. I'm a huge fan of Coldplay, but yeah, the theft is pretty blatant. Do I care much? Not really. Viva La Vida is a more infectious use of the melody and the song's lyrics are amazing.Whatever, musicians steal from each other all the time. I don't complain if the person who jacked a melody used it better though and in this case, Coldplay did. |

HAHAHA at the secret 'ROFL' on the wide Chris Martin.But really, who cares? Artists today have nothing better to do. Take for example the RHCP/Tom Petty fiasco. Or the Supertramp/...uhh, whatever their names were. Or the Clash/MIA thing. Seriously. It's become laden under some secret contract that almost all new artists must rip-off an old song. |

ItsRobin, Coldplay has never won an Emmy. An Emmy is an award for daytime television.it makes sense that someone of such little intelligence would try to defend coldplay. |

Who cares if they stole it or not. They got name already way before viva la vida. Even if they stole it, coldplay made it sound much better imo. Hence why they are nominated for 7 Emmy's. GG.Coldplay 4 life! |

Also the band Creaky Boards accused Coldplay (viva la vida) of ripping off their song "The songs I didn't Write" but then they just speculate they got it from The Legend of Zelda... so this isn't the first time that riff has been "ripped off". |

So... for the record, upon feeling the need to grab my guitar and argue,both of these songs use the same basic chords progression, but it's the same progression that every rock song has been using since the dawn of time... IV V I mIV and the ONLY part where the guitar and voice match up dead on is basically every guitarists go-to form. The odds that two notes would sync up over the exact same progression are pretty high. |

I remember when Viva La Vida was becoming popular someone came up to me and was like "OMGZ, THAT SONG SOUNDZ LIEK THE FAIRY THEME FORM ZELDA!!1121!"I mean, it doesn't really, but everyone seems to think they've heard the song before somewhere. Happens a lot. |

make the track, mash them togetherrrrr.if you can find any others, post them too, if you splice all of satch's tracks with coldplays, might make coldplay bearable to listen to |
