Marvel killed off Captain America for good not too long ago and has refused to bring him back dispite all the b*tching they're getting from fans. I'm guessing DC won't back down either. |

Superman died...they brought him back. Whole storyline turned into a huge anticlimax. Bane broke Batman's back, Azrael took over and was even MORE brutal than Wayne ever was. Plus the suit was way cooler. What happened? Wayne healed from his paralysis and donned the original suit again...big damn surprise. D.C. should learn to stop being a bunch of chumps because it's like the old cliche' goes, "If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you." I might buy a couple of copies in case it's worth some cash. might make a decent addition to my collection but I still think the whole thing is friggin' lame. |

Lmao, what a retarded story idea. I get the whole full circle philosophy, he becomes batman because his dad died but his dad comes back and kills him as a villain, oh how ironic!(sarcasm) When killing a character with their origin at least don't make it so two dimensional. I mean, how uncreative are you when you have to use the old "I faked my death :D" idea just to use it? If batman were to die, I would like something creative and twisted. Seriously, its like the mad embodiment of chaos, aka. the Joker cant do him in and yet his dad can suddenly walk in off screen and bust a cap in his ass? I haven't read this, I'm just raging on this unoriginal and poorly contrived idea. I'm going to go read it now though and possibly become even more mad. ah , comics... |

So Nightwing's gonna be Batman? But he left Batman because Batman's too brutal.....Batman not being brutal? thats just wrong(how do i know this when i havent even read a Batman comic? Naw, I believe Bruce Wayne dies a grumpy old man after training and mentoring Terry McGinnis. I think Frank Miller's work should be canon as well, nullifying any attempts to kill off the bat. |

Dick Grayson CAN'T be Batman, he's Nightwing. Tim Drake is more likely, but wasn't he killed as well?Also, Bruce Wayne cannot die, otherwise it leaves plot holes in the fast forward issues, as someone pointed out Bruce Wayne teaches Terry McGinest (sp?) in 2040 (or so) to be Batman. I don't expect Bruce to be gone completely, they will probably write a couple of issues and sees how it goes, if the sales drop expect a "soap opera" style brought-back=from-the-dead story twist to bring him back. much like they are doing with I am Legend 2... |
