That wasn't the same as a stroke. Impact on those arteries causes a temporary but very noticeable shift in blood pressure to the brain. With normal, healthy arteries blood pressure would and did resume normal flow. Thing is, the student wasn't even protecting his most vital area. Which probably meant he was young in the art. Which also probably meant this shouldn't have been performed on him. But yes, for certain, this type of move would send your average folk into a 2 or 3 second period of total shock. Enough for anyone trained to do whatever else they wanted to at that point. Meaning game over fatality move coming next. A good sternum punch would do the same for most, 'nuff said |
